The 6th Avenue Goddess is a house built in 1920 located on 6th Avenue in Tacoma, Washington. It is approximately 1000 square feet with two bedrooms and one bathroom.
We are located on 6th avenue and you are within walking distance to over 30 restaurants and shops and bars. University of Puget Sound, Tacoma General hospital and downtown are 1/2 mile away. We are an easy bus ride and are directly on the bus line.
The apartment is part of a triplex and is located on the top floor of the house. The main floor apartment (Aphrodite) and the Venus (this listing) apartment share a common back entrance (6 foot hallway) but are completely private (each has their own locked door) and separate from each other. To get to the apartment you must climb 1 flight of stairs so it may not be suitable for elderly or small children. It comes with one parking spot at the back of the house.
This apartment was built in 1920 and has tall ceilings, original molding, cute closets and fir and oak hardwood floors. The Venus apartment has one bedroom with a full size bed and another bedroom with a full size bed, a futon and a couch. The second bedroom has a television in it and it is quite large.. It has been completely renovated while keeping the original charm and personality of the era. All furniture and furnishings are vintage and of high quality and the mattresses are brand new.
Custom cabinets were added in the kitchen along with mosaic tile and custom counters. All new appliances including microwave, stove and dishwasher.
Everything you need for cooking and relaxing including pots, pans, spices, glasses, and china for entertaining. We have games to play and interesting books to read. Yes we have internet. The apartment comes with antenna t.v. including netflix and hulu as well as wireless internet. One Parking spot is included. Enjoy the side and front yard to BBQ or to people watch. The front porch is reserved for the main apartment.
This is an upstairs apartment and has 2 window air conditioners (one in the living room and one in the bedroom) for those hot days.
4 person hot tub in the beautiful backyard garden is shared with the bottom apartment.

Please be aware that the Venus apartment is the upstairs apartment in a large Victorian house. Both the Aphrodite (downstairs apartment) and the Aphrodite apartment share a 6 foot entry which leads to each private locked apartment.
House Rules
*This apartment is pet friendly with approval. If you have not asked my approval on your pet prior to booking your pet will not be allowed. You will be charged a $100 non-refundable pet fee per pet with a max of 2. If you are found with a non approved pet you will be asked to leave and will be charged $100.
*Dogs can not be left alone. Dogs must stay with you and leave with you. If you leave your dog alone, you will be asked to leave.
*This house can not be used for parties or get togethers. Don't ask to accommodate more than 4 guests (including children)
* Are you going to a concert at the Tacoma Dome or plan to party till dawn? Please be aware that you have guests below you and loud noise won't be tolerated. I will personally come talk to you about the noise if it is reported from my other guests. I live 3 blocks away.
*You must be 25 years old to rent from me. I require photo ID for all guests over 18 before check in.
*Late check outs will be charged $100/per hour unless you have made prior arrangements with me directly.
* If you have left the house and it cannot be cleaned in the 2 hours my cleaners take to clean then you will be charge an additional $50 per hour for deep cleaning.
* If you exceed the guest limit (4 including kids) you will be asked to leave.
*I have a no smoking, No parties, no drugs policy and my neighbor has a great view of the door. Exterior cameras also in use.
*No photo shoots are allowed and I do not give permission to photograph my home.
*The hot tub is shared with the downstairs apartment. Only guests are allowed in the hot tub. Guests of guests are NOT allowed. Hot tub rules posted must be followed. Noise must be down by 10 p.m. as the hot tub is next to an apartment building.
****Why the rules? After 9 years I have encountered almost everything with guests. With VRBO if I don't have signed and posted rules then I cannot collect from the guest that breaks the rules. Don't like my rules? I am not offended.......... please book elsewhere.
